Shri. Inbasekar K IAS

Inbasekar Kalimuthu is an IAS Officer of 2015 batch belonging to Kerala Cadre. Born on 4th May , 1988 at Devala, The Nilgiris District in Tamil Nadu. He Studied at Government Higher Secondary School, Cherambadi till his 10th Standard and completed his higher secondary education at Government Higher Secondary school, Gudalur, The Nilgiris. Both in 10th and plus two he was the topper of the school. Recipient of Chief Minister Bright student award. He completed his graduation in Agriculture from Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore. He also completed his Post graduation in Agricultural Economics from College of Agriculture, Hyderabad. He then worked as Scientist at Indian Agricultural Research Institute, New Delhi from 2013 to 2015. He cleared Indian Civil Service exam in the year 2015 and posted as Assistant Collector of Calicut in 2016. He was the first IAS officer from the district of Nilgiris in Tamil Nadu. He also cleared Indian Forest Service in the year 2011. He served as Sub Collector of Fort Kochi and Thiruvananthapuram. He held posts of Joint Commissioner of GST department, Inspector General of Registration, and Commissioner for Entrance Examinations. As Inspector General of Registration, he introduced sweeping citizen friendly reforms like Anywhere registration, Complete e-stamping, Online certified copies, and recorded historic highest revenue collection in the Department towards the State. On personal side, he is married to Chennai based Ophthalmologist Dr Nandini Nandan and the couple are having one daughter Aadhiyaa. Mr Inbasekar’s ancestors belong to Pudukottai region of Tamil Nadu. During British rule, they were taken to then Ceylon to work as plantation workers. After the independence of Ceylon, in 1964 Lal Bahadur Sashtri and Bandaranayake agreement, his parents were repatriated to India, their motherland. Mr Inbasekar was educated in the Government schools and as a child he always aspired to become an IAS officer and occupy the position of District Collector one day, he worked hard and focused towards it. He won many prizes in elocution, quiz and holds excellent academic records. From modest and humble beginning to todays District Collector post, he stays as Beacon of hope to many under privileged children and inspires them in his District. Through his history he reinforces the role of state in providing good education and other welfare schemes to the People. He says this is just the Beginning and wants to do more in actions and bring meaningful changes in the society.
